Zaida Rodriguez, AWEF Board Member

Zaida Rodriguez has a passion for cultivating and maintaining effective relationships with community members and key stakeholders, which she has put to good use through her board involvement with numerous Aurora-area nonprofits. In addition to serving on the Aurora Women’s Empowerment Foundation Board of Directors, Rodriguez currently serves on the board of Compañeros en Salud/Partners in Health, NFP as Immediate Past Chair. Rodriguez first became involved with Compañeros en Salud in 2004 when she coordinated the organization’s first community health festival.
In recent years, Rodriguez served on the boards for the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry, Aurora Primary Care Consortium, Aurora Regional Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce. In other community leadership roles, she has served on the Healthy Living Council and Workgroup for Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (WIDE) with the Kane County Health Department and the Chairman’s Advisory Panel with CASA Kane County.
Rodriguez received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Aurora University, as well as an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from Waubonsee Community College. She is an avid photographer and earned highest honors in College of DuPage’s Photography Certification program.
